Are you a dynamic and creative individual looking to share your passion with the coming generation?

This is a great opportunity for a creative art teacher to take on some day-to-day work within one of Southampton established schools. The role would be teaching students aged from 11-16 years old in a mixed school. Teaching Personnel are working with the school to find the right educator for their ever-growing school. The successful applicant will be able to create and enhance their own teaching practices to enable the focus and engagement of all students, while hitting the successful outcomes of each session topic. The high-quality standard of the school is hit by the hard work and dedication each staff member puts in towards it lessons and departments. The school are looking to recruit this from September and a full induction will take place ahead of starting.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Encourage and support students in developing their artistic skills, creativity, and self-expression.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore and appreciate art.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative art lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and activities.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the art department.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have previous experience delivering Art to KS3 and KS4
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
