The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons to students, incorporating both theory and practical aspects. They will create a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and artistic expression. The teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum.

  • Bachelors degree in Art or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Art or a related field, along with QTS and PGCE qualifications.

Prior experience teaching art to students of varying ages and abilities is preferred. Experience in classroom management and fostering a creative learning environment is desirable.

  • Ability to drive student engagement and motivation
  • Strong classroom management skills

Additional qualifications in specific art mediums or techniques are an advantage.

The Art Teacher will work in a school setting, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis. The role may involve some planning and assessment outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
