Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a dedicated ARB Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Truro area from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a specialist provision, supporting pupils in a structured, well‑supported environment — with the potential for a permanent position.

You will be working within an Additionally Resourced Base (ARB) supporting pupils with a range of needs such as:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • Communication and interaction difficulties
  • SEMH and regulation needs

Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group support
  • Supporting routines, transitions and emotional regulation
  • Adapting activities to support access to learning
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
  • Creating a calm, safe and structured environment

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has experience working in SEN, care, or support settings
  • Is calm, patient and emotionally resilient
  • Is confident supporting behaviour and routine
  • Enjoys working closely with individual pupils
  • Wants a long‑term, meaningful role

The right attitude is just as important as experience.
