Quantum Scholars are seeking dedicated and experienced Secondary Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged students within an Alternative Provision setting in Norwich.
This role involves supporting students who may require additional academic support, confidence building, help with engagement in learning, or preparation for assessments and GCSE examinations. Tuition will take place within a school environment, with sessions tailored to each student's individual needs, abilities, and learning style.
We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors who can confidently support students across a range of secondary subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level, including GCSE where required.
The role will involve:
- Delivering 1:1 tailored tuition to secondary-aged students
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised learning sessions
- Supporting students across a range of curriculum subjects
- Assisting students with GCSE preparation where required
- Adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and barriers
- Encouraging students to re-engage positively with learning and education
- Working collaboratively with school staff and Quantum Scholars to support student progress
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting students at secondary level
- Can confidently deliver sessions across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Has strong subject knowledge in one or more secondary curriculum areas
- Is patient, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with young people
- Can adapt lessons effectively for students with additional learning needs or barriers
- Has strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Is passionate about helping students progress academically while rebuilding confidence
Experience within Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH support, behaviour support, intervention work, or supporting disengaged learners would be highly beneficial.
