Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school in Penarth that is looking for an experienced ALN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The role will involve providing additional support to pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs, helping them access the curriculum and feel confident within the classroom.

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and other ALN
  • Helping children engage with classroom learning
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Adapting activities and resources where required
  • Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo
  • Helping pupils develop socially as well as academically
  • Has previous experience working with children with ALN
  • Is patient, calm and consistent
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils
  • Understands that every child may require a different approach
  • Is confident working as part of a wider school team
  • £13.75+ per hour, paid weekly through PAYE
  • Full-time Monday-Friday school hours
  • Dedicated consultant support
  • Free CPD and specialist ALN training
  • Support with Enhanced DBS and EWC registration if required
