ALN Teaching Assistant

KS2 Support | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Barry that is looking to appoint an ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within Key Stage 2.

This role centres around helping children overcome barriers to learning, allowing them to build confidence and achieve their full potential in the classroom.

You'll spend your day working alongside the class teacher and ALNCo to provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering one-to-one support throughout lessons
• Running small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties
• Helping children regulate their emotions and behaviour
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Encouraging independence and resilience

• Has previous experience supporting children with ALN
• Is calm, patient and adaptable
• Can build strong relationships with pupils
• Works well as part of a wider school team
• Wants to make a meaningful difference every day

• £13.75+ per hour
• Weekly PAYE pay

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
