Pay rate - £12-15ph

Start date - Monday 8th April 2024

We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience assisting children with additional needs, in a Primary School based in Caerphilly. With an ethos to provide Welsh medium education to the highest standard to every child within an inclusive challenging, caring and fair community this primary school is a great school for Welsh speaking Teaching Assistants who are looking for their next venture.

This role is due to start on Monday 8th April 2024 and is a 6-month cover with the potential of extension.

Job responsibilities:

  • Supporting children between the ages of 4-11 with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and both emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Offering literacy and numeracy support.
  • Provide support throughout the day both for their school work and emotionally.
  • Required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children as well as on a class basis.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs (professional or personal).
  • Understanding of the needs of pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Passionate about supporting pupils to enhance their futures in and outside of school.
  • A proactive and hard working individual, who is able to positively approach any day.
