We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Finance & Administration Assistant to support the smooth running of our school operations across multiple sites.

This is a key support role within the school’s central team, ensuring that financial processes and administrative systems are accurate, efficient, and compliant.

Working closely with the Finance & Operations Controller, you will take responsibility for day-to-day processing and record-keeping, supporting both financial and administrative functions across the school.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your work will help ensure the school runs efficiently behind the scenes. Responsibilities include:

  • Processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
  • Supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Assisting with audit and inspection preparation
  • Managing and updating financial and administrative records
  • Supporting compliance and documentation requirements
  • Communicating with staff, parents, and external stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Assisting with capital expenditure tracking and administration
  • Ensuring all records are correctly stored and maintained

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial processes
  • Confident using (or willing to learn) Xero or similar systems
  • Able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
  • Professional, reliable, and a strong communicator
  • Comfortable working in a busy school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
