TP Tutors is seeking committed SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition to primary and secondary learners in Sherborne and the surrounding areas.

Our tutoring opportunities support both SEN/SEND and mainstream students, giving you the opportunity to tailor your teaching around individual strengths, needs and educational goals.

Students may require additional support with Maths, English or other subjects, alongside needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements.

Location: Sherborne and surrounding areas
Students: Primary and secondary SEN/SEND and mainstream learners
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community settings or learners’ homes

As a tutor, you will:

  • Deliver structured and engaging one-to-one sessions
  • Adapt teaching approaches to individual requirements
  • Support primary and secondary students
  • Provide tuition to SEN/SEND and mainstream learners
  • Help students strengthen their academic skills
  • Encourage confidence, motivation and independence
  • Monitor and document learner progress
  • Work positively with schools, families and other professionals

You should have:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education experience
  • Experience supporting SEN/SEND and/or mainstream learners
  • A good understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to support primary and/or secondary students
  • Ability to travel across Sherborne and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
