TP Tutors is looking for dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutors in Rochester to work with pupils who benefit from tailored educational support outside of mainstream classroom environments.

Position: 1:1 SEN Tutor
Location: Rochester and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities

The Role

You will work closely with students who require additional educational support, creating engaging sessions that are designed around their individual strengths, challenges, and goals.

Main Duties

  • Deliver personalised tuition sessions on a one-to-one basis
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and EBSA
  • Modify lesson delivery to suit different learning styles
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with learners
  • Conduct sessions in homes or community-based settings
  • Help students improve confidence, independence, and engagement with learning

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting SEN learners preferred
  • Background in tutoring, education, youth work, mentoring, or care desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Patient, reliable, and flexible approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding expectations and procedures
  • Willingness to travel locally throughout Rochester
