Job Title: Secondary Tutor (1:1 Support)
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: School hours (typically 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, flexible)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Secondary Tutor to provide 1:1 support to pupils in the Wellingborough area. This role involves working either in a school setting or at the pupil's home during school hours.

You will be supporting secondary-aged students who may have gaps in learning, require additional academic support, or need help re-engaging with education. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering core secondary subjects, particularly English, Maths, or Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to secondary-aged pupils
  • Plan and adapt lessons based on individual learning needs and abilities
  • Support students in core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
  • Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
  • Monitor and report on student progress where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners on a 1:1 basis
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or relevant degree
  • Experience working with SEN or additional needs
  • Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition
