Location: L31, Sefton
Hours: Part-Time, School Hours (Weekdays)
Pay: £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the L31 area of Sefton. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition during weekday school hours, supporting students with Special Educational Needs to build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their educational goals.

You will work closely with learners who may have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties, adapting lessons to meet their individual requirements and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support students in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN needs.
  • Assess learners' abilities and create personalised learning plans.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students, families, and relevant professionals.
  • Encourage learner engagement, confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, or those out of mainstream education.
  • Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.
  • Flexible part-time hours during school hours on weekdays.
  • Competitive pay of £25 - £30 per hour.
