We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fully Qualified Teacher (QTS) to provide face-to-face tuition to a Year 11 student in the DN12 area of Doncaster.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young person through a personalised programme covering the full curriculum, with a particular focus on preparing for AQA examinations. The successful candidate will have substantial experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be confident in adapting learning to meet individual needs and overcome barriers to engagement.

Sessions will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30am - 2:30pm, delivered on a 1:1 basis in a face-to-face setting.

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition across the curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the student's individual learning needs and academic goals.
  • Support a Year 11 learner working towards AQA qualifications.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate SEN needs and learning differences.
  • Monitor progress, assess attainment, and adjust planning accordingly.
  • Build a positive, supportive relationship that promotes confidence, engagement, and independence.
  • Maintain accurate records of learning, progress, and outcomes.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching and planning lessons across the curriculum.
  • Proven experience preparing students for AQA examinations.
  • Significant experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and personalised learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working with learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
  • Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Experience supporting students who are unable to access mainstream education.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.
  • Competitive pay of £25 - £30 per hour.
