Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis?
Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in Exmouth who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team 4 days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to a child's educational journey by providing tailored support, encouragement, and consistency throughout the school day.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access learning, helping them to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.
- Working 4 days per week on a long-term basis
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within the classroom
- Supporting learning activities and adapting resources where required
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
- Assisting with emotional, social, and academic development
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to school staff
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
- Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
