1:1 SEN Tutor - Northumberland (NE65)

TP-Tutors are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide personalised tuition to pupils in the Northumberland (NE65) area.

This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who require additional academic support, alternative provision, or assistance re-engaging with education. The successful candidate will be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions based on individual learning plans
  • Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet each student's needs
  • Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, engagement, and progress
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects as required
  • Complete session reports and monitor student progress
  • Tuition sessions take place during weekdays and school hours
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN (essential)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
  • The ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Pay: £25-£30 per hour
