Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Bournemouth to recruit an experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access learning within the classroom. You'll play a key role in helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally while encouraging independence and celebrating progress every step of the way.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
• Build a strong, trusting relationship that helps the pupil feel safe, valued and confident.
• Support learning through engaging and differentiated activities.
• Encourage independence, resilience and positive behaviour.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies.
• Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and observations.
• Promote inclusion, ensuring the pupil is fully involved in all aspects of school life.

• Has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Has worked within a mainstream or specialist educational setting.
• Builds positive relationships naturally and understands the importance of consistency.
• Is calm, patient and adaptable when supporting pupils with varying needs.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is committed to helping children achieve their full potential every day.
