  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies
  • Support students with their learning and development, including personal care tasks if required
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the educational needs of SEN students are met
  • Monitor and record student progress, and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young adults with SEN
  • Good understanding of SEN requirements and best practises

Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant or relevant field

Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with SEN
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • SEN-specific training or certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Work primarily within a school environment
  • May involve physical tasks such as assisting with mobility and personal care
  • Full-Time hours, with occasional flexibility required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
