£14.25 per hour | 5 Days per Week | Long-Term Opportunity
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in central St Austell who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and providing consistent support to help a child thrive both academically and emotionally.
The role is expected to continue throughout the term, with the possibility of being extended beyond this for the right candidate.
You will work closely with one pupil throughout the school day, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and feel supported within the classroom environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
✅ Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
✅ Supporting engagement in lessons and daily activities
✅ Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
✅ Assisting with routines, transitions and emotional regulation
✅ Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
✅ Creating a calm, positive and nurturing environment
The school is looking for someone who can become a consistent and trusted adult in the child's day-to-day school experience.
The ideal candidate will be:
Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable, but not essential.
What matters most is finding someone with the right attitude, warmth, and willingness to make a difference.
