Job Description

Our Outstanding client is looking for SEN support in the classroom in a specialist resource provision that looks after 10 children with as Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

If you want to be part of a thriving school community where the aim is to create a calm, happy and structured environment where children are made to feel secure and can develop skills then carry on reading.

Our client teaches social communication, emotional regulation and social skills through a series of classes including occupational therapy, emotional regulation and social skills. As well as several activities such as art, cooking, PE and swimming.

About the role:
-Immediate start with flexibility to work 5 days a week.
-Working hours between 8.30-4.00pm.
-Based in the West Drayton/Uxbridge area.
-Working on a long-term basis.
-Daily rate between 60- 75.

Specific duties:
-Help SEN pupils to achieve their full potential and build their confidence.
-Working alongside teachers to assess pupils' levels and abilities.
-Using widget symbols and sign language to communicate and teach students daily.
-Liaising with parents and carers regularly.
-Working in a classroom environment as well as on a 1:1 basis.

Requirements:
-Must be confident to support young people in developing their skills.
-Flexible to start immediately and work 5 days a week.
-Experience in mentoring, teaching, carer for those who have challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.
-Passionate about working in SEN.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.
