A fantastic school in Chester is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join their resource provision from January 2020 on a full time basis. The role will involve you delivering targeted support and interventions to small groups of children in Key Stage 1 and 2 who need additional support with Literacy, Maths and SEN needs. You will be joining a friendly and approachable team who will support your career progression through regular training programmes. Responsibilities:
To provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
To work with small groups and 1:1 with children to maximise their full learning potential
To support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
To monitor and evaluate learner's learning under the guidance of the teacher
To assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place

Requirements:
Experience of supporting children with SEN
Have an understanding of a variety of SEN needs and supporting children in overcoming barriers to learning
Be confident to take the lead in groups in different educational subjects.
Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
