A brilliant college near Farnborough are looking for an engaging and positive Learning Support Assistant to work with SEN students in the mainstream department. You will help your students access the varied college curriculum and get stuck into some practical activities yourself! These students will need guidance on learning the life skills for the world of work once they leave education and you can help them do that!

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-The ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-The ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
