I am looking for an engaging, positive and creative teaching assistant to join a fantastic school near Turners Hill. This school caters for children between the ages of 6-25 who have various learning difficulties, such as: Epilepsy, Autism, neurological conditions. You would be working within a warm, supportive team who have the joint goal of promoting pupil's independence and providing the best educational experience possible to shape the children's futures.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Assisting students during class to meet their goals
-Supporting with the students personal care
-Liaising with class teacher regularly
-Encouraging engagement in the school's curriculum
-Supporting the safety and wellbeing of students
-Being an active part in creating a positive learning environment
-Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and part of a small group in a range of activities through out the day
-Using yours and students' interests to engage learners in learning
Key skills and experience needed:
-Experience working with people with special needs
-Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties including epilepsy and autism
-Have an understanding of students with emotional needs
-Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
-The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
-Be flexible in your approach to education.
-Own means of transport is essential
