GENERAL EXPERIENCE: You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Establishing, implementing, and managing an organization copier program; Compiling data and maintaining a database of repair and maintenance records; Preparing written presentations of findings, recommendations, forecasts, and justifications for equipment purchase, lease, and maintenance; Assists in planning for short and long term redistribution of office equipment;
I possess six months (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate education directly related to the position being filled;
I possess a combination of specialized experience and education. The total of the two percentages must equal at least 100 percent.

To qualify based on education for the GS-6 grade level you must have successfully completed six months (i.e., 9 semester hours) of higher level graduate education directly related to the position being filled.
