PPA SEN Teaching position in a Community Special School

Job Description

A forward thinking Community Special School based in Tameside for young people aged between 11 16 years old who have moderate learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorder are seeking someone who has a real passion for learning to join them as a full time PPA Teacher from February half term. Teachers at this well-rounded Special School focus on a bespoke curriculum that meet the student's individual learning needs as well as their social and emotional needs. The school's aim is to equip every young person who comes to them with the knowledge and skills to be independent and happy in their adult life. The Head Teacher is looking for kind and caring practitioner with evidence of good to outstanding practice. You will be: • Qualified Teacher Status • Primary and/or secondary trained • Experience of teaching Special Educational Needs It would be desirable if you had: • Knowledge of PECS and Makaton • Enjoy the challenge of working with young people within a SEN environment • Positive and dynamic • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils Premier Education has been a leading Education agency in the North of England since 2001 and we have helped a large number of teachers and teaching assistants find permanent work through the supply route over the years.
