One on One SEN Learning Support Assistant X2

One on One SEN Learning Support Assistants needed in Stoke on Trent primary school for 1:1 support work with pupils in Key Stage 2 and Early Years.

Hays Education are looking to recruit motivated and ambitious SEN Learning Support Assistants
to work in an OFSTED rated 'good' primary school in Stoke on Trent.

Your new job

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant within a primary school your job will be to support a particular pupil with Autism on a one on one basis. The successful candidate will be working closely with pupils on a long term basis in order to maintain their development and act as their first point of support. You will follow the EHCP to support their development.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful you must have recent and relevant experience as a One on One SEN Learning Support Assistant, either in a voluntary or paid capacity. You must also have a passion for working with primary school pupils, ideally KS2 or Early Years and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 or higher qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children who have Autism or emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.
