Secondary Humanities Teacher job, long-term assignment, part-time, potential to go full-time, Cheltenham

Your new school
Hays Education is currently working on behalf of a secondary school in Cheltenham that is looking for an outstanding Humanities specialist to join their staff in January 2018 for a long term assignment. The position is part-time with the potential to go full-time. You will join the Humanities Department and work towards the academic progress of pupils, creating a stimulating environment and creatively delivering challenging and imaginative courses.

Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job, you will be required to teach both R.S and Geography up to KS3, delivering lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. You will have full teaching responsibilities including preparation, planning and marking in order to create lessons that encourage pupil interaction and debate. As a Humanities teacher, you will teach the same amount of R.S and geography and create interesting lessons in each of these subjects.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have completed all relevant studies and have QTS/NQT. You will be an experienced Humanities teacher with enthusiasm to teach challenging courses in a creative and imaginative manner. A real understanding of the subject area and passionate commitment to students' academic progress and personal growth are desired. You will also need strong classroom management skills and the drive to achieve academic excellence whilst emphasising the school's core values.
