Visiting Assistant Professor in Chinese Language and Literature
Job DescriptionThe Department of Modern Languages at Washington College invites
applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor in
Chinese Language and Literature beginning in the 2018-19 Academic
Year. The candidate must be able to teach Mandarin Chinese at all
levels, literature courses, as well as additional classes
pertaining to the candidate's specialty and/or departmental
needs. The teaching load is 3/3. In addition to teaching, the
candidate will assist in cultural events and other language and
cultural outreach on campus.
The successful candidate must have native or near-native ability
in Standard Mandarin Chinese and must have a PhD in a related field
(ABD acceptable). The candidate should also have undergraduate
teaching experience (preferably in the liberal arts).
Washington College, founded in 1782, is a selective liberal arts
