The Head Teacher of a Roman Catholic primary school in Blackburn is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in their Year 5 class. This will be to start 8th March 2021 and is a long-term, temporary position. The working hours for the role are 09:00 – 15:30, Monday to Friday.

To be successful in your application, you must hold a minimum Level 2 education-based qualification and have at least 6 months experience in a similar role. It is also important that you show commitment to your role, pro-activity and an ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently with use of your own initiative.

The school is a Roman Catholic primary school and their faith is at the centre of all that they do. The successful candidate is not required to be a practising Catholic; however, it is essential that you are able to uphold and promote the Catholic ethos and values throughout your practice.  The school is Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas and is smaller than the average-sized primary school. Pupils and staff are proud of their school and the work that they do.
