I am working with the Local Authority to provide tutors to LAC student across Derby City and Derbyshire.

In particular I am looking for an experieced Year 3 tutor who has previously worked with students with social and emotional needs. 

The student requires education 3 times a week, for 3 hours a day - with a residential home. For this particular student we are looking for a tutor to do creative and play based learning - rather then basic Literacy and Numeracy. However, if you would like to do other tutoring roles you will be required to plan and deliver. 

We can not gurantee how long this tuition will be nneded for, however we are currently experience a high demand for tutors - therefor there will be other work available. As a tutor you will be required to write weekly feedback sheets and document the progress that your student is making.

The ideal candidate: 

  • Available at least 3 days a week, between the hours of 9 and 3
  • FQT, NQT or FE trained 
  • Exerpeice working with a range of SEN such as Social, Emotional Mental Health and Autism 
  • Creative and nurturing approach 
  • Comfortable to plan and deliver for a range of students and subjects 
  • Acess to won vehicle 
  • Happy to work in residential homes / foster homes during the current circumstances 
  • Acess to a compuer/laptop that you can deliver online learning on in the event of another lockdown

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
