Year 2 Teaching Assistant role
Full time position
The Headteacher is keen to secure a committed teaching assistant to join their hardworking team in order to work alongside the class teacher in Year 2. In light of the school closures, you would be providing additional support for children working below/ towards age related expectation. Four afternoons a week you would be leading small group interventions sessions focusing on fine motor skills, vocabulary development as well as boosters for communication and language.
The school is located in Oswaldtwistle and the children who attend the school arrive from various backgrounds. The classes are average sized and each class has at least one allocated teaching assistant. As part of your support, you will be expected to work alongside children with varying abilities and language skills. The role is on a full time basis and is for the first term initially, with the potential of continuing for the rest of the academic year. So, what are the requirements to apply for this role?
Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification and or an equivalent certificate.
Recent experience working alongside children in Key Stage 2
A hard-working and committed attitude to raising standards in the class room.

The role is to start on Monday 7th September 2020, continuing until at least December 2020 on a full time basis. The class teacher is particularly interested in candidates who are keen to secure a permanent role. The expected working hours for this role are 8:45-15:15 every day. The successful candidate will interview with Head Teacher and class teacher as well as spend some time in the class room with the children. Rates of pay are competitive starting at £10 per hour paid into your bank account on a weekly basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
