Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 per year (pro rata)

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Maidenhead, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis after May half term 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils transitioning into Key Stage 1, helping them build confidence, independence, and strong foundations for future learning.

About the Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum, creating a classroom environment where children feel supported, motivated, and eager to learn.

You will:

• Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils
• Support children’s academic progress and social-emotional development
• Build on phonics knowledge and early literacy/numeracy skills
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about early learning and committed to helping every child succeed.

You will ideally:

• Have experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet diverse needs
• Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
• Be confident supporting phonics and early core skills development
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and families
• Be committed to ongoing professional development
