Unqualified Teacher – Glossop

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming secondary school in the Glossop area, seeking an enthusiastic and confident Unqualified Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience and support students' learning in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:

• Start Date: January 2024
• Contract: Full-time or part-time (flexible to suit your availability)
• Pay Rate: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the usual teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students’ progress by answering questions and providing guidance during lessons.
• Build rapport with students and staff, becoming a valued member of the school community.
• Gain valuable experience in the classroom, preparing for a future teaching career.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., as a tutor, mentor, teaching assistant, or youth worker).
• A passion for education and the confidence to lead a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure.
• A commitment to promoting the well-being and success of students.
