TP Tutors is seeking caring and adaptable SEN Tutors in Petersfield to provide one-to-one support for students who benefit from alternative education provision.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Petersfield and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available

About the Role

As an SEN Tutor, you’ll work closely with learners who may face barriers within mainstream education. Through tailored sessions and consistent support, you’ll help students build confidence, develop skills, and re-engage with learning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Support learners with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Deliver sessions in homes or community settings
  • Track progress and support student development

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Background in tutoring, mentoring, education, support work, or care
  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities
  • Ability to travel locally across Petersfield

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
