Graduates wanted! Tutoring Opportunity with Teaching Personnel

Are you working on or completed a degree in a national curriculum subject taught in schools?

Do you have experience working with children in a professional setting?

Could you prepare and deliver high quality 1-hour sessions to improve pupils’ subject knowledge?

If so, this job could be for you. Teaching Personnel work with the National Tutoring Programme paying tutors £25-£35 an hour to provide weekly tuition to groups of 1-6 students whose education has been affected by COVID online or in person. Most of this tuition will begin in September and work in blocks of 15 weeks leaving ideal flexibility for graduates and students. These sessions can run during school hours or on evenings and compliment your study or work schedule. As a newly grad or experienced student you will be able to empathise with students working to better their subject knowledge. This role is terrific for gaining experience for those training for or contemplating a career in teaching. Subjects vary across the academic spectrum and there is a specific need for Maths, English and Science specialists.

The responsibilities of a tutor

  •  Show expert knowledge of the curriculum in your subject to keep pupils on task leading up to exams.
  • Prepare concise lessons to accommodate differing abilities
  • Show professional and compassion to help students succeed
  • Report sessions and update student data on our online platform LEAP
  • Liaise with schoolteachers to ensure students receive the best necessary teaching
  • Show a passion for education and pride yourself on boosting students’ grades

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
