Teaching Personnel

Are you a Fully Qualified or Further Education Teacher who is looking for a specialised 1:1 role rather than a full class teaching role?

We are looking for staff to help with our broad range of referrals working on a 1:1 basis with vulnerable pupils, predominantly those who are in care settings, or those with Education, Health and Care Plans who do not currently have a school roll.

The type of work we are commissioned to support with is broad, varied and bespoke to the needs of each child, but we are extremely lucky to have a number of Local Authority clients who commission a high volume of work with Teaching Personnel.

We are looking for tutors in the Mansfield area to support pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, who require cross-curricular support in addition to pastoral support to help with encouragine their engagement and motivation to learn.

Many of our pupils have complex needs and may have come from particuarly traumatic backgrounds, therefore we are looking for tutors with the following skills and experience:

  • Hold SEN experience either from school settings or alternative environments such as care work or personal SEN experience
  • Patient, nurturing personaliy and willing to go the extra mile for students, and persevere with those who are extrmely disengaged
  • An understanding and knowledge of mental health difficulties, including Attachment Disorder and othe trauma related developmental conditions
  • Background in counselling or befriending roles
  • Able to create an engaging, versatile education package that is tailored to each child's needs
  • Experience or willingness to work closely with Local Authority teams, and other multi-disciplinary teams on a professional level
  • Experienced at planning and delivering work, whether that is for whole class support or small groupe/1:1 interventions
  • Experience working in mainstream environments, iwthin inclusion/SEN/nurture units

The roles we are commissioned to support with are broad and varied, and often we require tutors to work on a sessional basis with a maximum of up to 5 hours per day, per student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
