Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a ‘GOOD’ primary school in the Thornton, Lancashire (FY5) who are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis starting ASAP. The successful will work in one of the schools year five class which consists of 29 children. The ideal candidate will have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification and will ideally have experience supporting learning in KS2.
The sucessful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Class Teacher to continually encourage learning and development for the children in their care. They will be expected to deliver intervention sessions for individual children and small groups, assess learning and identify next steps for learning. The successful TA will also be expected to take the class in the Teachers absense and manage challenging behaviours.
This is a two form entry primary schools which ‘has the children at the heart of everything it does’. The Head Teacher and Governors of the school are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will build strong bonds with staff and children whilst creating a warm and friendly learning environment. The school prides itself on ‘ensuring all children attain the highest academic achievement of which they are capable’ and are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able to work as a positive role model to encourage academic achievements for all children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
