We are currently looking for Teaching assistants to work within the Loughborough area on a supply basis. If you are an individual with quite a busy schedule and you are looking for work alongside other commitments then this may be of interest to you. Teaching Personnel are currently working with multiple primary schools within the Loughborough area and schools in the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate would have experience working within schools but this is not essential. If you are looking to start a career in the education sector, or looking to gain classroom experience before you decide to obtain a teaching qualification, this role may be sutiable for you.

Essential requirments for this role:

  • A GCSE or equilavent qualification in English and Maths
  • Have proven ability to work as a team
  • Show a high level of commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the role
  • Have energy, flexibility and drive
  • Be passionate about supporting children progress in their education
  • Be passionate about supporting children achieve their goals

Responsibilties

  • Supporting schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher.
  • Preparing learning resources.
  • Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence.
  • Helping children understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating.
  • Encouraging children to communicate with one another and with staff.
  • Providing feedback and assistance to teachers.
  • Supporting children in social activities and on outings.
  • Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance.
