A school in Poulton-le-Fylde have asked us to find x3 Teaching Assistants for long-term opportunities, starting in September.
The school is a specialist school, catering for pupils aged 11-16. The school delivers an exciting, innovative and holistic curriculum specifically designed to meet the needs of pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, who may have experienced trauma and/or difficulties in previous educational settings.
The successful candidates must be willing to transport pupils to school for 9am and home at 2.45pm daily, working as a TA during the day. It is hoped that your working day would be no longer (hopefully shorter) than a normal day in school with commute and I believe there is a slightly earlier finish on Fridays! In return, the school will provide a school vehicle for you to take home daily, (with fuel paid to get to work) and an opportunity to become part of a successful team on a long-term basis. This meaning that you do not have to pay your petrol money to get to and form work on a daily basis.
The pupils are form the Lancaster / Morecambe area, therefore it would be ideal for the successful candidate/s to reside in this area or at least close by, to limit the amount of time travelling.
I must stress that this is a TA role, not a transport role, and the ideal candidates will have experience in supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH and associated challenging behaviours. you must be confident in managing behaviours that may escalate and hold a full UK drivers licence.
The Head Teacher is keen to act quickly on this and would like to see CV's ASAP! Please send a copy of your cv to if you wish to be considered.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
