Teaching Assistant – Full Time (1:1 Support, Year 6)
Location: Orrell
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Orrell that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for an immediate start.

This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with autism, helping them to prepare for their SATs and supporting both their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

The role will include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil’s individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Supporting with SATs preparation, including literacy, numeracy and exam readiness.
  • Helping the pupil to stay engaged, focused and confident in the classroom.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
  • Encouraging independence, self-regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Creating a calm, safe and structured learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting pupils with autism and/or additional needs.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (Or be willing to apply for one) .
  • Be patient, nurturing and adaptable.
  • Have a good understanding of upper KS2 learning.
  • Be confident supporting learning interventions and small group work.
  • Be reliable and committed to making a positive impact.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
