We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants f work one-to-one in a Primary School The school caters for pupils aged 2-11 who have all been diagnosed with some form of SEN. The school has recently been rated as Outstanding by OFSTED with very positive reviews from parents, pupils and staff.
Teaching Assistants are instrumental in achieving good and long lasting outcomes for pupils within SEN schools both socially and academically. Teaching Assistants support leaners by keeping them on task when their minds drift away, assisting pupils with more complex tasks and overall being a supportive force in the classroom.
The facilities that will made available to include musical instruments for sessions, a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor play equipment for play centred learning and the support of a wide team of professionals who are there not only to support the young people progress but also to support you in your new role.
The ideal Teaching Assistant would have:
• Experience of working with SEN
• A caring and calm personality
• A supportive and reflective practitioner
• A patient personality
The school is located in the Atherton area of Wigan and is easily accessible by bus, tram and car.
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
