The role:- Preparing Biology teaching and learning materials.
- Providing guidance and advice to students on education, further studies, and career options.
- Offering feedback to students and parents through consultation evenings, phone calls, or written communication as necessary.
- Contributing to departmental planning and self-evaluation.
- Offering professional support to fellow teachers and support staff.
- Attending departmental and school meetings, both during and after the school day, as required.
What do you need?- A teaching qualification with QTS and experience teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4 in line with the British Curriculum.
- A valid PGCE/QTS.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not have one, we can arrange this for a cost of £44, refundable after completing ten days in your new role).
- Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subject matter.
- Two education-based references from the last 24 months.
- A passion for teaching Biology.
- Strong behavior management skills.
- A determined, hard-working attitude.
