Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an SEN College in Bournemouth. The school is a residential college providing both day and 38-52 week residential placements.  The school provides education for students aged 16-25 years, who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated mental health conditions.

We are looking for enthusiastic support workers to work within the residential setting. 

The Role 

You will be working in the residential homes, with some classroom work involved. On weekends, you will assist the young people on outings to local beaches and woodland areas as well as various planned activities.

You will work on average 37.5 hrs a week - this will be on a 2 week rota, one week 25 hrs (2 shifts) & the next 50 hrs (4 shifts) . Shifts are 12.5 hrs long. You will have the full weekend off every other weekend. 

This is a 'temp-to-perm' position, meaning you would work for a set period as a temporary worker, then transfer onto the permanent contract. 

Are you suitable?

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have experience supporting children or adults with special needs. If you do not have experience but have a confident and compassionate personality with a willingness to learn, then you will be considered.

There will be personal care involved, so its important you are comfortable with this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
