We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to provide supply teaching support across several welcoming and well-regarded primary schools in Southampton and the surrounding areas. This supply teacher role offers excellent flexibility and is ideal for qualified teachers seeking day-to-day supply, short-term supply, or long-term supply teaching opportunities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Whether you are an experienced supply teacher, an ECT looking to gain classroom experience through supply work, or a teacher returning to the profession, this primary supply teaching position provides variety, flexibility, and a healthy work-life balance.

The Ideal Supply Teacher Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have recent experience as a Primary Teacher or Supply Teacher in KS1 and/or KS2
• Be confident, adaptable, and resilient when undertaking supply teaching in different school environments
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills essential for supply teacher roles
• Feel comfortable delivering engaging lessons as a supply teacher across the primary curriculum
• Be professional, reliable, and passionate about providing high-quality supply teaching

The Supply Teacher Role Will Involve:

• Delivering high-quality supply teaching for day-to-day supply, short-term supply, and long-term supply assignments
• Teaching pre-planned lessons and adapting as required during supply teacher placements
• Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment as a primary supply teacher
• Supporting pupils’ learning, progress, confidence, and wellbeing during supply cover
• Working closely with school staff while following safeguarding procedures and school policies
