We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working with learners aged 10 to 17 across both primary and secondary phases. Working hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday.
You will be joining a highly regarded and nurturing education setting that is well known for its structured, calm and inclusive approach. Pupils are supported with a range of needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD)
Social, emotional and communication needs
Sensory processing differences
Additional learning needs
Providing tailored classroom and 1:1 support
Supporting pupils to engage with learning and routines
Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Assisting with differentiated learning activities
Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
A minimum of 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN or ASD
A patient, calm and adaptable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
