SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are currently recruiting educators and support staff for a range of specialist roles across both primary and secondary settings.

These schools support pupils who may require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation or learning, and are looking for people who can bring patience, structure and consistency into the classroom.


Roles may include:

  • SEND and SEMH teaching positions
  • Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant roles
  • 1:1 pupil support
  • Classroom and intervention support
  • Behaviour and engagement-focused roles
  • Day-to-day, long-term and ongoing opportunities

These roles tend to suit individuals who:

  • Are calm, reliable and emotionally consistent
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Work well within structured environments
  • Are interested in making a genuine impact within education

Previous SEND or SEMH experience is beneficial, though not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
