September is one of the busiest recruitment periods for SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex, and we are currently looking to connect with educators and support staff ahead of the new academic year.

These roles involve supporting pupils who may require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation or learning, and schools are looking for people who can bring consistency, patience and a calm, reliable presence into the classroom.

Roles may include:

  • SEND and SEMH teaching roles
  • Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant positions
  • 1:1 pupil support
  • Classroom and intervention support
  • Behaviour and engagement-focused roles
  • Long-term and permanent opportunities

Across both primary and secondary settings.

These roles tend to suit people who:

  • Are calm, patient and emotionally consistent
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Work well within structured environments
  • Are interested in making a meaningful impact within education
  • Want to develop experience within SEND or SEMH settings

Experience is beneficial, but not essential. Schools are often open to individuals with transferable skills and the right attitude.
