SEND Secondary Teacher

We are recruiting a passionate and adaptable SEND Secondary Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting where every pupil is given the tools, encouragement and personalised support they need to succeed. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who believes in inclusive education and wants to make a real difference to young people with additional needs.

The school supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), moderate learning difficulties, sensory needs and SEMH needs. Pupils benefit from smaller class sizes, structured routines and a calm, consistent approach that helps them feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.

The school is easily accessible by public transport, making it a great option for candidates commuting from surrounding areas. There is also a strong opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate, following a successful period in post.

You will work alongside an experienced and collaborative team including teaching assistants, the SENCO, pastoral staff and external professionals with access to excellent facilities such as intervention rooms, sensory/regulation spaces and well-resourced classrooms to support pupils’ individual needs and progress.

  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
