SEND Classroom Specialist - SEND Schools
Location: Brighton & Hove
Pay: £340-£360 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday-Friday, Full Time)
DBS Requirement: Child Only Enhanced DBS

Teaching Personnel are working closely with SEND schools across the Brighton & Hove area and are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join us as a SEND Classroom Specialist.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support both primary and secondary aged pupils with PMLD (Pround, Multiple, Learning, Difficulties),helping them access learning in a supportive and structured environment.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group classroom support

  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Implement behaviour and support strategies, including de-escalation techniques

  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo teams, and external professionals

  • Act as a consistent, positive role model within the classroom

  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive individuals

  • Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)

  • Understanding of ASC & ADHD and inclusive classroom practices

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)

  • A Child Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Competitive weekly pay (£340-£360)

  • Consistent full-time hours (8:30am-3:30pm)
