We are seeking a caring, patient, and motivated SEN 1:1 Tutor to provide personalised support to pupils with additional needs in home and school settings across the Coalville area.
You will work closely with children and young people who may require specialist support due to SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, or barriers to accessing mainstream education. The role focuses on helping pupils build confidence, engage in learning, and achieve positive outcomes through tailored 1:1 support.
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
- Adapt learning methods to meet individual pupil needs
- Support pupils both academically and emotionally
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and schools
- Keep accurate records of sessions and pupil progress
- Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and professionally
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Access to transport preferred due to travel between locations
- Tutoring, teaching, or teaching assistant background
