A reputable primary school in Bierton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role involves working with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You will play a key role in helping students thrive academically and socially while fostering independence, confidence, and inclusion.
Providing 1:1 or small-group support to SEN students across different year groups
Assisting with the implementation of personalised education plans (IEPs)
Supporting the class teacher in managing behaviour and adapting learning activities
Building positive, trusting relationships with students
Assisting with classroom preparation, sensory activities, and targeted interventions
Monitoring and reporting on student progress to the SENCO and teaching team
Previous experience supporting SEN children in an educational setting (preferred)
Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs
Excellent communication skills alongside patience, empathy, and adaptability
A flexible, proactive approach to supporting individual learning needs
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable)
