Location: Bierton, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Full-time, temporary to permanent
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £90 – £120 per day

A reputable primary school in Bierton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role involves working with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You will play a key role in helping students thrive academically and socially while fostering independence, confidence, and inclusion.

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to SEN students across different year groups

• Assisting with the implementation of personalised education plans (IEPs)

• Supporting the class teacher in managing behaviour and adapting learning activities

• Building positive, trusting relationships with students

• Assisting with classroom preparation, sensory activities, and targeted interventions

• Monitoring and reporting on student progress to the SENCO and teaching team

• Previous experience supporting SEN children in an educational setting (preferred)

• Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs

• Excellent communication skills alongside patience, empathy, and adaptability

• A flexible, proactive approach to supporting individual learning needs

• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable)
